About Us

  • Vision & Mission Statement

The vision of South Olive Elementary is to cultivate a stimulating environment so all students achieve on or above grade level expectations with the combined efforts of staff, parents, students, and the community. The mission of South Olive Elementary is to inspire and empower students to achieve the highest standards of academic success, social and emotional growth needed to be successful through precise planning, preparation and the implementation of curriculum frameworks.

South Olive Elementary School opened its doors in 1954 and has since remained a centrally located school for West Palm Beach, maintaining high expectations for the love of learning with a talented staff and a dedicated community.

Our school motto is that we are an Ohana. Ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. We incorporate this into both our academics and our culture, fostering a great place for students to thrive and teachers to love teaching.

We practice our “PAWS” daily by:
    Practicing Kindness
    Acting Safely
    Working Together
    Showing Respect
